This is our living room (and Chris) It looks retro, but it is actually just laziness. They never had 80's style. I really like the hanging globe lights. Groovy! |
Here's another view of the living room including a shot of our picture window. Again, the weird hanging globes can be seen. |
Outside the window is a nice park and to the left of that is Nepomucka Street and a series of Tower apartments (Panelaks) It's a very typical scene here. |
One reason I love this place is because it's close to a nice park. Here's our view of it. |
This is again from the front window looking out towards the center of town. You can see the Tram tracks of the good old number one tram. |
In our backyard you can see some other panelaks and The Larch... The Larch. |
Here is our toilet or reading room. Thanks to an ingenious extension, it is also our phone box. |
Another view of the living room from our couch. The Czechs call these bookcases "living walls." Seems kind of scary to me. |
Here is our kitchen. It has an open hot water heater (turn on hot water and whoosh, there is a gas flame lit to heat your water) It is very nice and quite comfy. |
Every Czech place has a hall so Czechs can take their shoes off. Ours also has a washing machine and six doors (not including closets. |
Our bedroom is very white. It is actually quite nice. We have two wardrobes, a stereo and a wide but short bed. |
The stereo with the apartment plays vinyl! It also has a funky disco mode (strobing LED lights) which you can see here in full glory. |
