Ray and Al and Weisbaden
When Ray told me that he was coming to Germany
this Fall, I knew that I had to meet him, hell or high water. After
some quick planning, we decided to meet at Al's the Friday before they
both left for America. It was my first trip to Weisbaden and it was
a good time. These pictures hardly do the weekend and drinking justice,
but they are here for your enjoyment.
 |
It starts here with the morning after. Here Michelle, Allen's
girlfriend, and Ray do the dishes. It may appear that Ray is housebroken,
but looks can be decieving. |
 |
Here we see a very tired Ray-beast after a night of drinking and carousing.
Note: the creature manuveurs completely by a batlike radar sense.
It has forsaken sight. |
 |
Al and Michelle pose before running to the airport. The disheveled
appearance is not just a fashion statement for Allen, but appears to be
connected to his way of life. |

The Rayborg has been released on the Frankfurt-Weisbadden express.
Many passengers were frightened away from this portion of the train/ |
 |
Walking through Franfurt, I happened upon a column and decided to photograph
it. Sadly, I haven't the slightest idea what it was for or even where
I was. Oh well. |
 |
This is the tower of an impressive cathedral near the shopping district
of Frankfurt. Mass was being held so I couldn't get a photos of the
inside. |
 |
This is the ruins of the Roman era church that originally stood near
the location of the current church. The Frankfurters have turned it into
an open air museum of sorts. |
 |
This is, well a Frankfurt in Frankfurt. There is nothing I can
realy add to the appearance of this food stand, except that everyone seemed
to think it was normal. |
 |
This was my attempt at an "art shot" during my walk. This statue
is just outside the metro and is a very characteristic peice of modern
Frankfurt art. |
 |
This was a really big laugh for me. It's an American restaurant
for starts. But also, by the door is a Visit Massachusetts promo. I just
can't get away. |
Sometime, I have to visit again and really get the full tour.
But for now, that's all folks.
